Though, it’s declared that , if you share any warez, illegal software, copy right protected item in those servers, and they get a complain against that , then files will be deleted at once. But heck ! There are millions of files and links are distributed in thousands of sites / networks. So its really hard to trace all the illegal files. Almost maximum warez servers live on this public download servers like rapidshare.
Hey , do you know another business is going on regarding rapidshare or megaupload ? its the premium account business. You may have experienced the necessity of having a rapidshare premium account. Tricks like eliminating waiting time by a JavaScript code or IP barrier by /ipconfig flushdns , /ipconfig renew ,/ipconfig release all these commands ( it worked in ancient days , you know ). But Rapidshare is always changing their policy to cope up with fastest brain of hackers. So you can’t be sure that , tricks you are using today will work tomorrow. Rapidshare is also a very common policy for blog writers to attract traffic . A blog title like “Latest Rapidshare Hacks” will bring a hell of traffic in your site. And who cares if you give them a hack which is obsolete for years. And interestingly , all the rapidshare premium hunter about whom I have told earlier, also make anonymous comments on these posts giving links of their uploaded “zoombie ( yes I would like to call it so ) file”.
So far I have found only one satisfactory solution to this rapidshare premium problem. Though i’m afraid this is not easy for everyone. You may have heard about rapidleech , a free server transfer script , allows you to download rapidshare (with some other major file sharing sites) files to your faster server, and then you can download files from your server to pc , at your convenient time. But main problem is , you are assumed to have a fast box connection with proper access. Remember , this requires (rapidleech) only PHP , nothing else ( i mean mysql or stuffs). so , think twice before downloading a long login list for rapid premium. May be you are helping some one to help his premium period unconsciously, and more importantly someone is cheating you , exploiting you.

[ PREMIUM- & COLLECTOR'S-Account ]
Please enter your Login and Password at Premium-Account or Collector's Zone in the settings, these changes are saved automatically and all uploads will use your account. You can leave the fields blank and upload as a free user.

[ Upload ]
The upload of your files using Rapid Uploader is very simple: choose the card Upload and drag all files there you want to upload. Move them over the list and drop them. All files are added now and you can start uploading by clicking the blue button. Once all files are uploaded, you can view them in the history and get information about the upload-date and time, the size of each file and the download / remove link of the file(s). These information can be saved as a text file or copied to clipboard.

[ History ]
The history shows all uploads and saves the details. Ensure that the history is enabled in your settings for this. If you do not want to store the information on your computer, you can turn the history off.

[ Auto-Packer ]
This usefull part helps you to split or pack files that are bigger than 100 Mb (this value is individually changeable) since the size-limit per file is 100 Mb. Therefore you can use the own pack-procedure which creates .zip files or you can use WinRar, in case it's installed.

[ Other Settings ]
All in all the RapidUploader has a lot of settings, so everybody can set this tool up to his needs. Just download and check it out.

»Is this tool Freeware, does it contain Malware, Adware, etc.?
RapidUploader is an official Tool from RapidShare.com. It's free, guaranteed Adfree and does not contain any malicious software, hidden Ad-Programs or things like that.

»Where will my RapidUploader-Setings be saved?
It's recommended to put the tool into an own folder. Once started, the tool will automaticly save all informations in a settings.ini file in the specific folder. This settings.ini file is updated on every change you do.

»Where can I check if a newer RapidUploader Version is available?
This is not necessary! The tool is looking for the latest version on every startup. In case of there is a update, you'll get a message. For updating you just have to confirm the appearing update-box.

Search Rapidshare with Rapidsharing

Rapidshare is probably still the biggest file upload site on the internet. It is also one of the messiest and hard to work out sites that I came upon. There is no way to search for files hosted on Rapidshare.com itself. The only way that was known to me was to use a Google search exclusively for Rapidshare. (site:Rapidshare.com keywords) This is not an ideal situation, many links found by Google are already dead at Rapidshare and the overall process takes to much time.

Rapidsharing is an alternative. The site lists available downloads from Rapidshare in eight categories including Software, Music and Games. A click on one item leads to a list of all available files in that category. I tried some downloads and all worked well at this time, it could however be that some get deleted eventually and are not accessible as well. Rapidshare seems to host a large amount of files of questionable content to put it this way. The software category contains download links to many full versions, at least that is what the name suggests.

I did not try and download those and they could very well be trojans or viruses instead of the product. The large video and celebrity section contains lot of, well how shall I say it, - adult - videos but also the occasional tv show. I would be very cautious downloading anything that has an executable from Rapidshare, make sure your scanner is up to date before you start unpacking and installing files.

I personally think that Rapidsharing offers a good alternative to Google searching Rapidshare. One should also consider that files uploaded to Rapidshare are supposed to be private. It could very well be that a user uploads a full version of a software that he purchased because he wants to install it on a different computer as well.

Rapidshare Searches:

You need links to download files from rapidshare. One common method is to use google to search rapidshare.de by using googles site search command.

This would search rapidshare.de for every link / page that includes the word rar.

You can also search google for sites that index rapidshare downloads, I won´t get into detail about those sites because they mostly link to illegal downloads. Try the search string “rapidshare links” for example.

The program has more options, it allows you to select a proxy list that it uses automatically while downloading from rapidshare or the other services. It offers simultanious rapidshare downloads, you can set timeouts, schedule downloads and paste links from files or the clipboard.

Speaking of Rapidshare Hacks: There is one little rapidshare hack available which sets the timelimit you have to wait to 0. Clear your address bar and add the following line to it “javascript:alert(c=0)”. This sets the rapidshare timelimit to 0 but does not change the download limit. The only way to reset the rapidshare download limit is to make rapidshare.de believe you are a new user. This can be done by either reconnecting to your ISP or by using proxys.
Reconnecting to your ISP is only working if they give out dynamic (changing) IPs to their users, if you have a static IP you will have to use proxies. You can check your ip here. Rapidshare sets a cookie which you will have to delete as well. (In Firefox go to

4. Select Yes to the warning that the bookmark may be unsafe.

Request a new IP address from your ISP server.
Here's how to do it in windows:
1. Click Start
2. Click run
3. In the run box type cmd.exe and click OK

5. Erase your cookies in whatever browser you are using.

Frequently you will be assigned a new IP address when this happens. Sometime you will, sometimes you will not. If you are on a fixed IP address, this method will not work. To be honest, I do not know how to do this in linux/unix/etc. If this works for you, you may want to save the above commands into a batch file, and just run it when you need it.

Our linux department was on holidays for two days with the order to program two OpenSource upload-scripts. The target audience is the professional linux user, who is searching for comfortable ways to upload files to RapidShare. For the first time we have used the new RS API, which contains numerous valuable functions making it possible to write comfortable and feature-rich upload-managers for RapidShare. For example its now possible to resume aborted uploads including a MD5-check after the upload is completed to ensure the upload worked as it should. Two scripts have been created. The first script, which you can download here already contains everything you need to upload files as a free/collector's/premium-user. Just the upload-resume is missing here. However, this script is rather well documented and easier to understand than the second script. The second script is based on the first script and extended by the new upload-resume. This feature makes the second script more complex than the first one. You can download the second script here. Please notice that these scripts are created for the professional computer user. If you need help with this scripts, please talk to computer experts you know. Unfortunately we cannot provide support for these scripts. We hope that our windows department will include the new RS API in their programs within the next weeks so that upload resume is possible there as well. Since the RS API functions are available for everyone, we hope that we will see some nice upload managers with upload resume very soon. Unfortunately we had to reactivate the traffic limit due to the traffic trend during the time without a download limit. The high traffic volume was mostly caused by abuse of several accounts. We're sorry that the measures we have to take against this abuse also introduce restrictions to honest customers. But solving problem by means of a traffic limit is better than raising the prices of premium accounts
